In 2008, I started keeping track of all the books I read. I did this mostly for my own sense of satisfaction. Also, I found just keeping the title around in a list helped me remember something about the book. And isn’t that the point of reading?
Reading is a passion for some, a hobby for others, but it is never a competitive sport. I hope my book lists inspire you to pick up a book and read.
Other readers are sharing as well. Here are a few other blogs with reviews or book lists to inspire you, from around WordPress.com. Some are fiction, some non-fiction. These aren’t necessarily the only lists or the best lists, just lists from other to inspire you.

I buy a lot of books from B&N, Amazon, and Borders. I also love independent bookstores, like the Regulator (in Durham, NC). Any time I travel, I seek out local independent bookstores as well, and have found some great stores in Seattle, Denver, New York, Nashville, Asheville, Tulsa, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
But for the best reading bargain, you can’t beat the library. If you haven’t been in a while, visit your local library. It may bring back a little bit of nostalgia, from when you were a kid and went to the library with your parents. Libraries aren’t just for kids though, and you are paying for them through your tax dollars. Take advantage of the service they provide to your community.
